Analog card TDM400P can be put into 1u/2u server?

Hi,
For analog cards such as TDM400P, can they be put into Dell 1950 (1U) or Dell 2950 (2U) server machine?
From the picture, it seems too tall to fit into the computer.

Does TDM400P have echo cancellation? Is echo cancellation crucial to have for analog cards to build acceptable IPX?
I found some analog cards in the market do not have this feature. For these cards without echo cancellation, will
the sound on headset/phone has echo sound? If yes, why people make such cards?

Which card would you recomend for Analog cards with 3 FXO and 1FXS with nice price and quality?

Thanks for help.
Dave

Digium long-ago end of life’d the TDM400P for a number of reasons including its compatibility with modern motherboards, it’s lack of ability to deal with latency spikes or very latent systems, and its inability to support DSP-based echo cancellation. Digium replaced the TDM400 with the TDM410.

The TDM400 does not have onboard echo cancellation and is not capable of it. That card assumes software-based echo cancellation, which has been generally inferior to the DSP-based hardware echo cancellers. Echo cancellation is imperative, as you’re going to experience echo otherwise.

I’d recommend the TDM410 with 3 X100 FXO modules, 1 S110 FXS module and the VPMOCT032 echo cancellation module. The bundled part number then is 1TDM413EF

Cheers.
