407 reply to register

Hello all,

i am using asterisk on my local network to test a sip client.
Sending REGISTER, asterisk reply with a 401 message and that’s ok.

Anyway, i need asterisk reply with a 407 (Proxy-Authorozation) instead. I know 407 is sent on INVITE requests, but i need it as answer to a REGISTER, becouse some other pbx do it and i need to test it.

Is there some configuration option to make asterisk give this reply ?

Everything works as it should per RFC3261.

21.4.2 401 Unauthorized
The request requires user authentication. This response is issued by
UASs and registrars, while 407 (Proxy Authentication Required) is
used by proxy servers.

You want to see 407 response? Then you will need a proxy server.
Asterisk is not a SIP proxy!
