1.4 svn keeps repeating: Remote UNIX connection?

Just updated to 1.4 svn. After it reloads modules, I get these message - about 1 every 5 seconds:

-- Remote UNIX connection
-- Remote UNIX connection disconnected
-- Remote UNIX connection
-- Remote UNIX connection disconnected
-- Remote UNIX connection
-- Remote UNIX connection disconnected
-- Remote UNIX connection
-- Remote UNIX connection disconnected

What’s this? Can I stop it?

Same thing is happening after I loaded 1.14.19, the same statements appear as [VERBOSE] entries in my full logs. The occur at exactly 5 minute intervals and the time between the alleged connections is < 1 second.

I too would like to know if this is “normal”, or an indication of some other issue. If it’s "normal’, what process or thing is logging in and out so often and why?

Hoping for a clue too…
